Pharmacist Opportunity – 200-Bed Hospital Setting

Seeking full-time night pharmacists to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care at a 200-bed hospital located in Tucson, AZ. This contract position offers a 13-week commitment with a start date as soon as possible. The schedule consists of 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off, working Wednesday through Tuesday shifts. This role offers flexibility where it can transition to a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate closely with physicians regarding drug selection and dosing to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication use and safety.
• Lead medication safety initiatives to enhance patient care quality.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and monitor for potential adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures, nutritional supplements, and ensure narcotic accountability.
• Report and document any adverse drug reactions promptly.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license and credentials to practice.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, particularly in acute care settings.
• Strong clinical knowledge of medication therapies and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage and organize responsibilities in a fast-paced hospital environment.
