What You'll Lead- Own all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and forecasting
- Develop and implement financial controls, accounting standards, and compliance practices
- Direct monthly/quarterly reporting, annual statements, and financial audits
- Partner with leadership to optimize performance, reduce costs, and support business growth
- Oversee expense management, GL operations, and financial systems
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives
- Manage a team including Controller-level and Accounting functions
- Serve as a key contributor to strategic planning and operational decision-making
Ideal Background- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Property & Casualty insurance industry experience required (Statutory + GAAP reporting)
- Experience in energy, oil & gas, or complex multi-state environments preferred
- Strong background in financial reporting, planning, and expense management
- Systems experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, Excel; familiarity with billing workflows
- Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of developing and engaging teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and influence at all levels
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
