Based near Van Nuys, CA, this role supports students in either a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) or a 4th/5th grade mild to moderate classroom for the 26/27 school year. Key Qualifications:
- Valid California CTC Certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education (required)
- Experience and confidence in either RSP or mild/moderate classroom settings
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Adaptable communication and collaboration skills to work closely with students, support staff, and families
- Strong organizational abilities and a proactive attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals tailored to students’ unique needs
- Assess student progress, modify instruction as needed, and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
- Provide direct support, guidance, and advocacy for students’ academic and personal development
- Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment where every child feels included
