IT Manager (Manufacturing)Position SummarySeeking an experienced IT Manager to lead site IT operations supporting manufacturing, business systems, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees IT infrastructure, ERP platforms, production-supporting technologies, and IT staff while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Quality teams. The position requires regular onsite presence in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day IT operations supporting manufacturing and business functions.
- Ensure reliability and performance of production-critical systems and plant-floor technologies.
- Support automation, data collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the escalation point for IT issues impacting operations.
- Support manufacturing, inventory, and financial workflows through ERP systems.
- Manage integrations between ERP, shop-floor, and reporting systems.
- Maintain IT controls supporting SOX compliance.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, access management, and change control standards.
- Oversee networks, servers, endpoints, and manufacturing devices.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and security.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Lead onsite IT staff and contractors.
- Coordinate with corporate IT teams and third-party vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and support services.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of IT experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Prior IT leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
- Knowledge of SOX IT controls and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with operational technology (OT) and plant-floor systems.
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
