Make an impact helping K-8 students thrive by bringing your expertise in occupational therapy to a vibrant, supportive educational environment. A part-time contract opportunity awaits a dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about providing high-quality, student-centered services across two to three campuses in the North Chicago/Waukegan area. Working with learners from kindergarten through 8th grade, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing students’ ability to participate fully in school and daily activities.
Your schedule is flexible—work approximately 20 hours a week, spread across two or three days as best fits your availability. Each day you’ll collaborate with teachers and staff to craft and deliver effective interventions, assessments, and strategies that empower students to achieve their highest potential.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years’ experience providing occupational therapy, with at least three years in a school setting
- Active license to practice occupational therapy in Illinois
- Registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Demonstrated expertise working with elementary and middle school students
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop tailored intervention plans
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy to K-8 students
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support IEP goals
- Travel between two to three campuses as assigned within the North Chicago/Waukegan area
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with state and federal guidelines
