About the Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards, and support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Job Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging daily lessons aligned with Louisiana state standards and curriculum requirements
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning
- Provide instruction across core elementary subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress through assignments, observations, assessments, and classroom activities
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, specialists, and families to support student success
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a safe and productive learning environment
- Incorporate instructional technology and creative teaching strategies when appropriate
- Participate in professional development, grade-level meetings, and school initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution
- Valid Louisiana teaching certificate issued through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE)
- Appropriate Elementary Education certification/endorsement for the assigned grade level(s)
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum standards, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying academic needs
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
- Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
