A rewarding part-time opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual services for a therapeutic day school. This contract position is well-suited for an SLP-CCC who is passionate about supporting students and is seeking a flexible, remote assignment. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, offering a long-term commitment with steady hours each week.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Minimum of two years’ recent school-based speech therapy experience
- Previous experience in teletherapy or virtual instruction is preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams
- Comfortable working independently and managing a small caseload virtually
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual speech-language therapy to students at a therapeutic day school
- Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain thorough documentation of progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive student support
- Conduct evaluations, write progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations
Details:
- Part-time commitment of approximately 5 hours per week
- 1099 contract assignment (independent contractor status)
- Fully remote/virtual position, allowing flexibility
- Position runs through June 2027
