Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- LBS1 endorsement
- Early Childhood Special Education certification or Early Childhood Education certification
- Prior experience working in preschool or early childhood special education preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education instruction to preschool-aged children in accordance with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Develop differentiated lesson plans and activities based on each child’s unique strengths and needs
- Foster a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to coordinate services
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress toward academic and developmental goals
