- 1 Cognitive Impairments self-contained classroomYou’ll be challenged and rewarded as you work with exceptional students, many with mild to severe behaviors, in programs tailored for significant disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License (substitute certifications not accepted)
- Willingness to work with a variety of mild to severe student behaviors
- Emotional Impairments certification and/or Autism endorsement required
- Bachelor’s degree with appropriate endorsement for HS Autism assignment
- Open to enrolling in classes toward endorsement where required
- Interest in travel and working in different educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and care in a self-contained classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs for students across elementary, middle, or high school
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Adapt teaching techniques for students with diverse needs
- Support a positive, structured learning environment
