About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to provide specially designed instruction and individualized support to students with disabilities.

Job Duties

• Develop and implement IEPs
• Provide specially designed instruction
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials
• Monitor academic, behavioral, and developmental progress
• Participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Implement positive behavioral supports
• Provide accommodations and modifications
• Maintain accurate special education documentation
• Ensure compliance with IDEA and Texas special education requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with the appropriate Special Education certification
• Completion of an approved educator preparation program or applicable alternative certification pathway
• Successful completion of applicable Texas educator certification examinations
• Knowledge of IDEA and IEP procedures
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
