Located in a vibrant community near Waterbury, CT, this onsite position is a contract assignment covering a leave from mid-September through late October, offering the chance to develop meaningful connections with students and staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher license, including all required certifications.
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a school-based special education setting.
• Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and proven ability to implement targeted support strategies.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs and create a positive, inclusive learning space.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with varying disabilities in alignment with their IEPs.
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and participation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as required.

This is a 35-hour-per-week onsite position from September 15 to October 27, 2026.
