The Falls Animal Clinic in Palmetto Bay is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to our animal patients while supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in various tasks. We are a privately owned, small animal hospital with a focus on delivering superior patient care along with exceptional client experience. We have created a positive work culture to maintain an environment fostering both personal and professional development .We are open from 8am-5pm Monday - Friday and Saturday 9-1. We are a friendly, team oriented, and supportive clinic that recognizes the importance of a work life balance.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Support and assist veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care

• Knowledge of common medication and canine/feline vaccines

• Maintain and update medical records, administer medications and treatments

• Assisting with the dog walking, cage cleaning & general hospital cleaning.

• Be computer literate (we are a paperless practice)

• Answer all incoming calls using excellent telephone etiquette

• Provide consistent quality customer service and education to every client

• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

• Ability to lift 40 pounds, multitask and work independently

• Must be reliable, on time, and clearly communicate and relay information to doctors and staff.
