Run the field. Earn like an owner.
Hands-on volumetric and mobile mass-flow (continuous-mix) concrete operation: run the plant, lead the placement crew, place and finish to spec. Direct Concrete runs ProAll and Cemen Tech-class mobile volumetric (mass-flow) mixers on the largest, most remote concrete pours in West Texas, including hyperscale data center campuses where schedule certainty and yardage are everything. We supply our own aggregate from a proprietary pit in Matador, so our crews keep pouring when everyone else is waiting on a truck. We are hiring a Volumetric Concrete Operations Lead / Foreman to own the field operation end to end: mobilize the equipment, supervise the crew, keep the volumetric plant producing, and put quality concrete in place. This is not a clock-watching job. It is a high-output, high-accountability role for a self-directed expert who wants real ownership of the work and a paycheck tied directly to the yards they place, and who can place a lot of them.
What you'll do:
- Mobilize and demobilize the volumetric placement operation at each jobsite: setup, staging, breakdown, and site readiness.
- Supervise the placement crew day to day: assignments, sequencing, safety, and quality.
- Operate and maintain the equipment. Run the volumetric (mass-flow) plant and perform operator-level field maintenance to keep it producing without downtime.
- Place and finish concrete to spec: slump, finish quality, and meeting the slab schedule.
- Own the production record. Identify and log every pour, track yardage, and file the daily pour reports that drive your own pay.
What you'll earn:
We pay for output, not attendance, which is why this is one of the highest-earning field roles in the trade. Your pay has two parts:
- A base of $300,000/year, paid for every active field day, so your income never depends on a single project. The base is yours regardless; it is not commission-only.
- A per-cubic-yard production incentive on every yard you place. Because it is paid per yard, there is no ceiling: the more concrete you place, the more you earn.
Total earning potential of $300,000 to $650,000/year. $300,000 base plus the production incentive you drive. Top performers on sustained, high-volume data center pours reach the upper end. We will walk you through the exact numbers and a realistic earnings model for your situation during the interview. Relocation and housing assistance is available for the right candidate. Full-time employees are also eligible for company benefits (details provided during the hiring process).
Who we're looking for:
- Hands-on volumetric or mobile mass-flow concrete experience (ProAll, ProAll Reimer, Terex, Cemen Tech, Holcombe, Holcombe CVI, Zimmerman, Bay-Lynx, or similar continuous-mix systems), or deep ready-mix placement experience and the mechanical aptitude to learn our equipment fast.
- Proven crew leadership. You have run a placement crew and owned the outcome, not just shown up to it.
- Equipment savvy. Comfortable performing operator-level maintenance and troubleshooting in the field, away from a shop.
- Finishing knowledge. You know what good concrete looks like and how to get it. Mobile and self-directed. Willing to travel to and work at remote West Texas jobsites; reliable and accountable without someone standing over you.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to meet our motor-vehicle-record insurability standards. CDL and relevant safety certifications (OSHA and MSHA awareness) are a strong plus.
Adjacent backgrounds we welcome: strong fits also come from ready-mix and batch-plant operators, concrete pump and boom-pump operators, slipform and paving foremen, shotcrete and gunite crew leads, and data center mat-slab placement superintendents with mechanical aptitude.
Why Direct Concrete:
- We own our material. Our proprietary Matador aggregate pit means our crews are not held hostage to third-party supply, so you keep pouring.
- We chase the big work. Large, remote, high-yardage projects in the Permian Basin and Panhandle, including hyperscale data center pours, wh
