Job Overview:
Parker is seeking a skilled Test Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and failure analysis on electro-mechanical and electronic equipment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong electronics testing experience, soldering knowledge, and familiarity with aerospace or high-quality manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform mechanical and electromechanical testing on electronic components and assemblies
• Conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis on analog and digital circuitry to component level
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, and other testing equipment
• Set up and operate test equipment according to specifications and procedures
• Review schematic drawings, shop travelers, and route cards to verify testing sequences
• Troubleshoot customer-returned units and verify circuit functionality using schematics and prints
• Document detailed failure descriptions and root cause analysis findings for engineering and production teams
• Maintain accurate testing records and controlled documentation
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Support production schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of related electronics testing or troubleshooting experience
• Strong electrical and microelectronics background
• Experience using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with electronic assembly standards, solder quality, and basic rework practices
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ESD control procedures
• IPC certification or soldering/assembly experience preferred
• Ability to interpret BOMs, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics
• Experience in aerospace or controlled manufacturing environments preferred
• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or technical education in electronics or related field preferred
