The RV Service Technician must troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issue/s on recreational vehicles in the mobile service, in-house service, rental, and consignment departments.
The Ideal Technician will:
- Provide and document complete diagnostic test/s and repair/s or replacement services to RVs
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance , roof maintenance and/or repairs
- Provide routine maintenance and/or repairs to the exterior and interior of RVs
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs and/or replacements
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned in repairing RVs
- Operate mobile service van when mobile service calls are appointed
- Explain proper operation of vehicle systems to customers.
Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year service experience or related fields preferred, but NOT required, willing to train a fast learner
- Work independently
- Multitask
- Give attention to detail
- Have the ability to operate all shop equipment
- Must be able to read, comprehend service literature and/or parts manuals
- Record labor time, parts, and/or services utilized on repair order forms
- A good driving record
- Pass drug/alcohol screen exam
- Individual must have the ability to work well with others, work independently and be detail-oriented.
Pay is based on experience. - STARTING SALARY DURING TRAINING IS $600 PER WEEK**
Essential Job Functions:
Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers
Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance maintenance
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Job Functions:
Include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs on both light and heavy equipment such as trucks, lot equipment and generators in a timely manner
- Perform all interior/exterior repairs, generator maintenance and service, and other minor repairs in a timely manner
- Overall responsible for all vehicles maintenance
- Follows and adheres to safety rules, regulations and proper use of safety equipment that pertains to each job
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Able to work to company specifications
- Work well independently as well as part of a team
- Be detail oriented and organized
- Must have own tools
- Be able to provide personal and professional references
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
