We are seeking an experienced Short Order Cook to join our fast-paced, family-owned restaurant. This role focuses on breakfast and lunch service with hours from 7am to 2:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday, with no night shifts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong work ethics, excellent knife skills, the ability to follow verbal instructions, and experience in a breakfast environment. This position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items efficiently to order
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure food safety and hygiene compliance at all times
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain quality control throughout food preparation and service

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in short order cooking
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient knife skills
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
• Understanding of food safety standards and compliance
• Experience operating kitchen equipment
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• Effective team collaboration skills
• Strong verbal communication abilities
