Open Position

Part-time, in-store salesperson. 2-3 days a week during Summer, with the option of a year-round position.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person with a genuine passion for selling fine wines and spirits. Hospitality and retail experience are both important, as you'll need to think on your feet, read people, and communicate quickly and cordially to make sales and keep regular customers happy.

You will report directly to the owner, Tyler, to communicate anything of importance, including low inventory, incoming or outgoing shipments, and notable customer interactions or requests. Tyler will be working with you on busier days, while you will be working the shop alone on slower days. Our team is small, consisting of only the owner, yourself, and one other salesperson.

Responsibilities include floor and phone sales through the PoS, packing and processing online and in-store shipping orders, receiving incoming deliveries, restocking shelves and cabinets, and maintaining the store’s appearance. Knowledge of wine and spirits, a solid grasp of food and wine pairings, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an outgoing personality are all a must. 

Shop & Sales Responsibilities 

• Provide wine recommendations and help customers choose the best wine for their personal taste, gift, or event
• Maintain the sales floor to keep high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Receive and stock inventory
• Enter invoices into Shopify and Stocky apps
• Write product descriptions for website
• Write sales emails to sell extra wine on commission
• Assist with in-store events; setup/breakdown & service
• Act as a representative of our brand; help educate and excite others about our mission and values
• Ensure that all customers receive a thoughtful & welcoming experience while shopping at One Kourt

Compensation

• Hourly wage range from $24 - $30 based on experience, with room for growth
• 5% Commission on wine sold through emails you write
