PCC - Project Engineer Job Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the project management and field teams in the successful execution of multifamily construction projects. This role assists in managing documentation, coordination, scheduling, cost control, and communication to help ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.

General Duties
- Project Coordination & Administration
o Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day operations and tasks
o Coordinate with Subcontractors, Owner, Consultants, and Design Teams
- Submittals (CSI Divisions)
o Prepare, review, and track submittals for compliance with contract documents
o Follow-up with Owner and Design Consultants to ensure timely responses to avoid delays
o Develop a comprehensive list of expected submittals from the specifications - load and maintain in Procore
o Collect Submittals / Shop Drawings from Subcontractors
o Review Submittal & Coordinate corrections
o Submit to Approver – Owner/Architect/Engineer
o Upon Approval – Distribute to Subcontractors appropriately
- Procurement
o Develop a procurement log
o Track procurement items against the schedule
o Coordinate with Superintendent and Subcontractors on deliveries to meet schedule
o Validate materials delivered are per approved submittals/specs and quantities as planned
- RFIs
o Draft RFIs and coordinate via Procore
o Confirm validity of RFI and understand it
o Bring initiative with potential solutions and drive suggestions
o Verbal conversation with Owner, Architect, or Engineer prior to issuance
o Draft RFI with ability to communicate the issue clearly
o Post RFIs to the applicable contract documents immediately and distribute
- Meeting Minutes
o Record meeting minutes for all the various meetings
o Ensure items are recorded that confirm/change/modify or otherwise redirect our efforts on the Project
- Document Management
o Manage document control systems – Procore, Share Drive, etc.
o Maintain current drawing logs and ensure team is working of the most current plans
o Distribute updated drawings, ASIs, etc.
- Scheduling & Planning
o Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules
o Monitor Progress and help identify potential impacts
o Support coordination of subcontractor work and site logistics
o Track and manage subcontractor weekly work plans and production rates
- Field and Quality Oversight
o Perform regular site walks to monitor progress and verify quality standards
o Create observations in Procore where deficiencies are found until resolved
o Manage Punchlist process from start to finish
- As-Built Management
o Tracked and updated against the relevant RFI/ASIs in Procore
- Close-out
o Coordinate with Subcontractors to obtain close-out documentation and warranties
o Coordinate attic stock requirements
- Contracts
o Read and understand Prime Contract
o Read and understand Subcontractors Scope of Work
