WHO WE ARE
Just Better Installs (JBI) is a commercial kitchen installation company founded in 2020 in the great state of Florida.
We take pride in our workmanship, professionalism, and ability to work as a team. Our goal is simple: complete every job safely, efficiently, and to a standard of quality that sets us apart from the competition.
We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work and want the opportunity to grow with a company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
As a member of the JBI installation team, you will be expected to:
- Arrive at work on time and fully prepared to work from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.
- Be prepared for early team meetups when necessary to ensure the crew arrives at the job site by 7:00 AM.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site throughout the workday.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within the required project schedule.
- Follow the direction and instructions of the Team Lead and work cooperatively with the rest of the installation crew.
- Properly maintain, organize, and account for all tools and equipment, including but not limited to:
- Tape measure
- Utility/folding knife
- Gloves
- Hard hat
- Eye protection
- Company-provided tools and equipment
- Personal power tools and materials
- Work professionally and cooperatively alongside other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contractors and trades on the job site.
- Communicate any issues, delays, safety concerns, or job-site conditions to the Team Lead or management.
- Team Leads are responsible for taking detailed photographs of the job site and installed equipment at the end of each workday and providing a daily email update to JBI management.
- Be willing and able to travel throughout Florida and, when required, out of state in a company-provided vehicle with your assigned team. All applicable travel time will be compensated.
- Demonstrate the drive and ability to complete assigned work efficiently, correctly, and safely.
- Take pride in doing the job right the first time rather than cutting corners or creating additional work for the team.
90-DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD
All new employees will begin with a 90-day probationary period. During this time, JBI will evaluate your performance in several key areas, including:
- Attendance and punctuality
- Work ethic and dependability
- Quality of workmanship
- Ability to learn and retain new skills
- Teamwork and communication
- Following instructions
- Job-site safety
- Professionalism and client relations
- Productivity and efficiency
- Leadership potential
At the completion of your first 90 days, your performance will be formally reviewed. Employees who demonstrate strong performance, improvement, reliability, and a commitment to JBI’s standards may be eligible for a pay increase and company benefits, as applicable.
Following the initial 90-day evaluation, employees will generally be evaluated every six months by their supervisor or management.
PAY SCALE & GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
JBI believes in rewarding employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Entry-Level / Little to No Experience-
- Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
- Employees may become eligible for their first pay increase following successful completion of the 90-day evaluation.
Experienced Applicants-
Applicants with previous experience in areas such as:
- Commercial installation
- HVAC
- Construction
- Welding
- Mechanical trades
- Electrical or plumbing
- Other related specialty trades
may qualify for a higher starting wage, generally ranging from $21.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and qualifications.
