We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our Pre-K classroom in Westbury, NY! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a nurturing, engaging, and positive early childhood environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and shine.
What You'll Do
· Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
· Help children develop early literacy, math, language, social, and emotional skills.
· Assist with fun, hands-on learning activities, arts and crafts, music, movement, and creative play.
· Encourage children to explore, ask questions, and build confidence.
· Provide positive guidance and help children develop appropriate social skills.
· Support individual children's needs while encouraging independence.
· Assist with snack, meals, transitions, bathroom routines, and other daily activities.
· Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom.
· Actively supervise children and maintain a safe learning environment.
· Build positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and staff.
· Assist with classroom observations, documentation, and activities as needed.
· Participate in special classroom events, celebrations, family activities, and school-wide programs.
· Bring your own creativity, enthusiasm, and ideas to the classroom.

Qualifications
· Previous experience working with preschool or young children preferred.
· Early childhood education experience or coursework is a plus.
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· CDA, Associate's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
· Must meet applicable New York State early childhood program requirements.
· Must be able to successfully complete required background checks and clearances.
· CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
· Strong attendance and reliability are essential.
