The Dishwasher is an essential member of the Production Team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment by ensuring all dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and production equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This role directly supports food production by ensuring equipment and work areas are continuously available for use while maintaining compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, containers, and production equipment.
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area throughout the shift.
Clean and sanitize production equipment between uses as directed.
Remove trash and recycling and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen, production, storage, and work areas.
Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and company policies and procedures.
Assist the Production Team with cleaning tasks during production changeovers and at the end of each shift.
Support production operations by helping maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environment.
Assist with additional production or warehouse support duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous commercial kitchen, food production, or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach.
Work in wet, hot, and fast-paced conditions.
Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation products safely.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
This position works in a commercial food production environment with exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, hot surfaces, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels. Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and personal hygiene standards is required at all times.
