The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks in healthcare settings. The CMA supports healthcare providers in managing patient flow, conducting medical tests, and maintaining accurate patient records to ensure smooth and efficient practice operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient symptoms.
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure comfort during procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens as ordered by physicians.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient check-in/check-out processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and medication instructions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
