This position will be based in CONWAY, AR and will assist in establishing a new office in this market.
ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST - COMPLIANCE | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Ability to understand and implement permit parameters effectively for sampling or other requirements for several different industries.
- Perform Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) inspections of regulated areas and outfalls as required by state-specific or site-specific permits.
- Inspections include visual monitoring of stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) and escalation of required corrective actions to be implemented including significant new materials or regulated activities that drive plan/permit changes, non-stormwater discharge evaluations, stormwater discharge visual assessment.
- Complete sampling requirements (visual or analytical sampling requirements)on-timein a safeand time-efficient manner.
- Ability to review the analytical data from the sampling results and notify the project or program manager(s) of any exceedances or overages.
- Track inspections and sampling requirements, corrective actions/corrective actionsreports(CARs), and communication with project/program managers.
- Request information and communicate with various governmental and regulatory organizations.
- Develop andmaintainrelationships with employees at all locations.
- Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and workin accordance withestablished OSHA and internal requirements.
- Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Promote a positive working environmentin order toachieve the organization's goals.
- Help project manager perform environmental audits, as assigned, for ISO 14001 program, other regulatory programs, or as requested by clients.

ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST - COMPLIANCE | COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

- Ability to read and interpret a variety of maps and aerial photography.

- Ability to work in both a field and office environment.
- Understand and interpret regulatory guidelines.

ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST - COMPLIANCE | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- For insurabilitypurposesa valid Driver's License isrequired.
- Undergraduatedegree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Must complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training within the first 2 weeks of employment.
- Mustbe able to pass a DOT and Hazmat Physical.
- Mustbe able to safely wear all required PPE including respirators.
ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST - COMPLIANCE | PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- One (1)- three (3) yearexperiencein and/orexposure to environmental consulting, compliance.
- Familiar with SWPPP and SPCC inspections/document requirements.
ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST - COMPLIANCE | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a full-time position. Ability to work flexible hoursrequired.
- This position will maintain 34-38 billable hours per 40-hour work week.
