Overview
The Regional Finance Controller is responsible for leading the financial operations of Liftra USA while serving as a strategic business partner to regional leadership and the global finance organization. This role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, internal controls, and financial analysis to support sound business decisions and sustainable growth.
The Regional Finance Controller plays a critical role in ensuring financial integrity while providing financial leadership to a service-driven organization focused on equipment maintenance, field operations, and customer support. Working closely with Operations, Service, Sales, Human Resources, and executive leadership, this position delivers financial insight that improves operational performance, supports customer service excellence, and drives profitable growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with business acumen, leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset in a dynamic service and project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting financial records.
- Develop and present financial reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for regional and global leadership.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial reporting requirements.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
- Develop rolling forecasts and long-range financial planning models.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support strategic business planning through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities to improve business performance.
Business Partnership
- Partner with Product Services, Field Services, Sales, Human Resources, and executive leadership to provide financial guidance and decision support.
- Support financial planning and analysis for service contracts, field operations, and customer support activities.
- Analyze profitability across service offerings, projects, and operational activities.
- Develop financial insights that improve resource utilization, labor efficiency, and operational performance.
- Support pricing strategies, customer proposals, and contract evaluations through financial analysis.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
Accounting, Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and effective risk management practices.
- Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
- Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, and regulatory filings in partnership with external advisors.
- Ensure timely completion of all financial reporting obligations.
Operational Finance
- Monitor financial performance across service operations, field activities, and customer projects.
- Analyze labor utilization, service margins, and operational profitability.
- Develop financial reporting that supports efficient scheduling, resource planning, and workforce utilization.
- Monitor equipment-related costs and support lifecycle planning for operational assets.
- Provide financial analysis supporting capital investments, fleet management, and operational improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the regional finance team.
