Summary
Operate CNC machines and a variety of other tools that are required to prepare door slabs for latches, locks, and other door hardware. Cut openings for lites, and complete other necessary modifications to satisfy work orders by performing the following duties.
Duties
Place door on CNC workstation and positions template on door at point indicated on specification sheet or blueprint.
Operate the CNC machinery using keypad and compare against written work orders.
Understand operation of machinery to adjust and/or compute cutting speeds, feed rates, and dimensions when necessary.
Observes machine operation, and removes and inspects machined workpiece to verify conformance to specifications.
Chisel out wood corners from recesses as required for square corners.
Select and cut bead for cut-outs
Operate the re-stile machine
Operate the re-stile press.
Pass door off to finishing department or for packaging.
Other duties as may be assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
