CounterTek is a locally-owned small business which makes custom countertops and vanity tops for the kitchen and bath industry. We currently have a full-time opening in our Cultured Marble department.
Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
After 90 days, CounterTek pays 100% of your health insurance premium and long term disability premium.
Paid holidays. Voluntary benefits are available.
After 1 year, employees can participate in our 401k. CounterTek will match up to 4% of your contribution.
Starting pay is $16/hr.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cultured Marble Finishing Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the final stage of our manufacturing process, transforming raw molded pieces into flawless, high-quality fixtures. You will inspect demolded items, repair surface imperfections, and utilize power tools to grind, buff, and polish surfaces to a beautiful finish. A successful candidate has a strong eye for detail, takes pride in physical craftsmanship, and prioritizes workshop safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Inspection: Examine demolded cultured marble, granite, or solid surface products to identify chips, air bubbles, seams, or scratches.
- Defect Repair: Mix and apply color-matched gel-coats, catalysts, and epoxy resins to seamlessly patch blemishes or surface voids.
- Grinding & Shaping: Use pneumatic air tools, grinders, and sanders to trim flashing, level backsplashes, and smooth rough edges.
- Polishing & Buffing: Operate variable-speed buffers with progressively finer abrasive pads and polishing compounds to achieve matte or high-gloss finishes.
- Quality Assurance: Measure final dimensions against product orders and templates to verify strict quality specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain sanders, buffers, ventilation booths, and hand tools daily to keep them in peak working order.
- Safety & Compliance: Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respirators, eye protection, and safety shoes, while strictly adhering to chemical handling and dust control protocols.
