Position Overview:
As a Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician, you’ll work hands-on in our fabrication lab to build, modify, and repair prosthetic and orthotic devices. Experience in the field is a plus—but if you’re mechanically inclined, comfortable with tools, and eager to learn, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, and repair prosthetic and orthotic devices
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively
Shape, mold, and modify materials such as plastics, foams, and carbon fiber
Assist practitioners with measurements, adjustments, and device setup
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
Follow documentation and quality standards for device production
Qualifications:
Experience in prosthetics/orthotics fabrication is preferred but not required
Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent hand skills
Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and problem-solve
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
High school diploma or equivalent

Oertel Orthopedics, Inc. is a family-owned Prosthetics and Orthotics Practice with a 57-year local history. We are searching for a medical receptionist to join our team. This position this position entails front desk work and close collaboration with our medical biller. This position is well-suited for organized, self-motivated candidates who value a collegial work environment and want to play an integral role in both our patient care family and the continued growth of our long-standing practice.
We are a smaller, efficiently run medical office focused on providing high-quality Prosthetic and Orthotic care to the community. Our space consists of a patient intake/ waiting room, medical reception/ billing area, three patient care rooms and an on-site fabrication lab where patient devices are crafted. Our team consists of four medical professionals: Clinician(s), a Technician and a Medical Biller who collaborate on every patient experience. Together we see each patient through the entire experience from intake to device fitting and delivery while striving for an outstanding patient experience.
