A Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining CNC Machinist sets up, operates, and maintains CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts used in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and industrial production.

Typical Duties

• Set up CNC machines based on blueprints and job orders
• Load raw materials and install cutting tools
• Program or edit machine code (G-code/M-code) as needed
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Follow safety procedures and quality control standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machine operation and setup
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and measurements
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools
• High attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Pass a 5 panel drug screen
• Must pass a background check
