Remarkable Arts® is seeking positive, dependable individuals to join our growing team as we expand visual arts education throughout schools in Okaloosa County.

This opportunity may be a great fit for retired teachers, substitute teachers, education or art students, homeschool educators, childcare professionals, recreation staff, working artists, and others with experience supporting children. A teaching certificate or formal art degree is not required.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Children’s Art Instructor, you will lead engaging, hands-on visual arts lessons for elementary students using our professionally developed curriculum. Remarkable Arts® provides the lesson plans, instructional materials, art supplies, training, and ongoing support so you can focus on creating a positive and successful classroom experience. Instructors generally work at one school per day, although their assigned school may vary throughout the week based on a consistent schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Teach engaging, age-appropriate visual arts lessons to elementary students.
· Follow provided curriculum and instructional guidelines
· Demonstrate art techniques and guide students through each project
· Foster a positive, organized, and encouraging classroom environment
· Prepare instructional materials and set up the classroom before lessons
· Maintain classroom organization and complete cleanup after lessons
· Travel to assigned school locations according to a consistent weekly schedule
· Communicate professionally with Remarkable Arts® leadership and school staff
· Represent Remarkable Arts® professionally while working in local schools
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, recreational, volunteer, or similar setting
· Dependable attendance and availability during regular school-day hours
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· Ability to travel to assigned school locations throughout the week
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Ability to follow established lesson plans, procedures, and schedules
· Successful completion of all required background screening and fingerprinting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in education, training, childcare, recreation, or youth programming
· Interest or experience in visual arts or creative activities
· Classroom or group-management experience
· Experience leading activities, demonstrations, or group instruction
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
· Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
· Approximately 24-30 hours per week
· Monday-Thursday schedule, with some Friday opportunities available
· Work takes place primarily during regular school-day hours
· Paid training
· Part-time W-2 employment
· School holidays and scheduled school breaks off
· Mileage reimbursement for approved travel between assigned work locations during the same workday
Additional paid opportunities may be available through after-school enrichment classes, camps, paint nights, and special events throughout the year.
