We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Representative to join our team in a hospital setting. In this role, you'll serve as a patient advocate, helping patients and their families navigate healthcare coverage options and assisting them in obtaining the maximum benefits available through state and federal programs.
Key Responsibilities Interview patients and their families to assess eligibility for healthcare benefit programs
Assist patients with completing applications for state and federal assistance programs
Review medical records and take appropriate action to help expedite benefit approvals
Communicate regularly with government agencies regarding claim status and eligibility updates
Collaborate with hospital staff and internal team members to provide timely updates and support
Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, claims, and case progress in hospital and company systems
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies regarding Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and other confidential data
Determine the appropriate federal, state, or local assistance program based on medical documentation and eligibility requirements
Thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment while delivering exceptional patient service
Associate Degree preferred
1–3+ years of customer service experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally
