Summary of Line Cook Position:  

With this position, you must be able to accurately and efficiently cook and prepare meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Put your plating skills to use to help craft-fully plate and garnish cooked items, as needed. Assuming 100% responsibility for quality and presentation, increase your customer satisfaction skills by assisting in the creation of specials and unique dishes, sure to impress. Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Understanding operations and proper usage of broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment according to standardized recipes. 
• Taking full responsibility for the quality and presentation of products served. 
• Following standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen procedures with consistency. 
• Stocking and maintaining an adequate level of food at line stations to ensure smooth service periods 
• Assist with portion and preparation of food items in accordance with recipes and guidelines. Could include, but not limited to broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods. 
• Consistency in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation including all cooking and refrigeration equipment. 
• Ensure proper plate presentation and garnish for all dishes.
