Title: Industrial Engineer
Location: Waterloo, IA
Duration: 24+ Months Contract (possible extension upon performance and client needs)
Shift Time : 1st shift position (7 am to 3:30 pm) with minimal overtime
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an Industrial Engineering background to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have proven performance in past manufacturing support roles and experience conducting time studies.
- You’ll work on optimizing processes, supporting operations, and improving efficiency within our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing and distribution operations, focusing on quality improvement and efficiency.
- Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses for incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan).
- Develop and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, tool design, and processes.
- Participate in total preventative maintenance and facilities management activities.
- Document processes and procedures with technical writing, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Provide shop floor support and problem-solving, spending approximately 60% of time on feet and lifting up to 10 lbs as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other relevant software to analyze data and prepare reports.
- Work flexible hours to support manufacturing operations as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (ideal); open to recent graduates with relevant internships or academic experience.
