The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, coatings, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Prepares surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming as needed.
· Applies paint, stains, sealants, and coatings using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other application tools.
· Matches colors and mix paint to achieve desired finishes and specifications.
· Protects surrounding areas, furniture, and equipment from paint damage.
· Inspects completed work to ensure quality standards and proper coverage.
· Repairs surface imperfections and perform minor surface restoration as required.
· Follows project plans, blueprints, or customer specifications accurately.
· Maintains tools, equipment, and painting materials in good working condition.
· Ensures compliance with safety protocols and proper handling of chemicals and materials.
· Cleans up job sites and properly dispose of waste materials after project completion.
· Communicates project progress and issues with supervisors and clients as needed.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
· Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
· Ability to follow instructions and project specifications accurately.
· Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
· Basic knowledge of safety standards and material handling procedures.
· Good communication skills for working with team members and clients.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· At least 2 years of experience in painting, construction, or related trade required.
· Trade certification or apprenticeship training preferred but not required.
· Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial painting projects preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in elevated positions.
· Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds or more as required.
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Frequent exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and construction environments (proper safety equipment required).
· Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
