Our established multi-physician Internal Medicine practice is seeking an Experienced Medical Assistant/Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a professional, personable, detail oriented and organized individual who takes pride in providing outstanding patient service.

As the first person our patients see, you will create a warm, welcoming experience while managing a variety of front office responsibilities in our medical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients
• Answer phones and route calls
• Schedule appointments and outside testing
• Patient referrals
• Account registration
• Process prescription refill requests
• Maintain electronic medical records and process requests for records
• Route faxes, test results, and patient communications electronically
• Keep the reception and waiting area clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent medical office experience required
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance, billing, and prescription processing
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Professional appearance with a friendly, accommodating attitude
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
• Clinical skills are a plus, including injections, venipuncture, EKGs, and obtaining vital signs
