Texas One Source Industrial Solutions LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our team.
This estimating portion of this position is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, soliciting vendor pricing, and securing profitable work. The project coordinator portion of this position is responsible for preconstruction planning, procurement, submittals, and coordinating subcontractors as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial & commercial electrical construction and possess strong technical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and customer requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical and industrial equipment installation projects.
• Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations.
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop labor, equipment, and material cost estimates.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Identify project risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering, purchasing, and fabrication personnel to ensure accurate estimating.
• Maintain estimating databases, cost records, and historical pricing information.
• Participate in bid reviews, customer meetings, and project handoffs after award.
• Procurement of materials for upcoming jobs.
• Coordinating subcontractors.
• Actively participate in preconstruction planning and meetings.
• Coordinate submittals and maintain submittal logs.
Qualifications:
• Previous estimating experience in industrial construction, commercial construction, electrical installation, or a related industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and project specifications.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, estimating software and CAD.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of industrial/commercial electrical switchgear, equipment, conduit, wire, PLC’s.
• Strong knowledge of current NEC codes.
• Licensed Journeyman a plus.
• Knowledge of Procore estimating and project management software.
