Position Overview: As a Medical Assistant at Family Health Care, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers and ensuring the efficient operation of our clinic. Your responsibilities will include providing direct patient care, assisting with administrative tasks, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical history
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
• Prepare and maintain patient records and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed
• Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
• Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program is preferred
• Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
• Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
• Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
