Service Writer 

South Florida Caterpillar dealer is seeking a Service Writer. This individual will create, update, close and invoice service calls while working with the customer to obtain POs. The service writer works with the foreman and service manager on specific tasks. The individual chosen will help in monitoring all phases of the communication process between the service department and customer. This position is responsible for proactively contacting Customers with a machine in the service shop and field actively being repaired.  Customers will be updated with current tech availability, machine repair status, as well as information on parts availability issues. Understand, update and utilize our customer relationship management system and other customer dealership information-based systems. Dedication to relevant continuous personal learning and development. openness to participate in related product support projects and assist the department in other tasks when the need arises. Represent the company in an ethical and professional manner. Needs to have strong phone and verbal communications skills. Active listening skills. Proficient computer skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Will maintain thorough records of all conversations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CAT Interact. Must be a high school graduate.
