Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

Pay range: $18/hr on w2
Hours: 3:00 PM - 11: 30 PM

Manages the activities in such functions as dock operations, material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and scheduling of shipments (full truck, LTL, rail, containers, etc.).
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Use overhead cranes/hoists as well as a ground support for Mi-Jack Crane operations to load finished goods onto flatbed trucks for shipping.
• Tarp, seal, and package finished goods for protection during shipping.
• Scan Finished Goods unit for Inventory Accuracy using RF-Scanner into the tablet.
• Work efficiently and effectively to ensure the shipping schedule remains on-time, minimizing truck detention.
• Operate a forklift to move material and finished goods around the stock yard.
• Ensure all finished goods units have been identified via the paperwork using a pick list and yard reports prior to shipping a unit.
• Identify ways to improve the efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes in the workstation.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and all related shipping areas to help maintain 5S requirements within the entire department.
• High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
• Willingness to learn and cross train on multiple shipping functions within the department.
• Mandatory overtime and weekend hours are frequent and may be assigned as needed.
• Good communication skills relative to all members of management within the Shipping team and other related departments.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork are required.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing or shipping
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Driver certification
• Willingness to be trained or demonstrated experience in operating overhead cranes, hoists, and a Mi-Jack Crane to safely load finished goods onto flatbed trucks for shipment
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to read procedural documents and safety materials
• Prior experience operating crane/hoist equipment
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
