Position Summary
Seeking an Administrative Clerk to support medical records operations for a Cardiology clinic. The role involves medical records management, chart review, patient communication, document scanning/uploading, and appointment support while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Review Cardiology clinic schedules and patient charts to ensure required records are available for upcoming appointments.
- Request and obtain medical records and diagnostic images from outside healthcare facilities.
- Process, scan, upload, and organize medical records from electronic and paper sources.
- Process medical record requests received through provider/nurse inboxes.
- Transcribe external referrals and attach referral documentation within Epic.
- Request and upload medical images through Powershare or ISCV.
- Contact patients and outside medical facilities to obtain missing records or information.
- Clear and process the fax inbox and distribute documents to the appropriate staff.
- Manage clinic, provider, and personnel mail, including sorting, sending, and distribution.
- Create and mail CD/image requests to patients and outside facilities.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized patient documentation.
- Provide front-office support when required, including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and telephone assistance.
Required Experience & Education
- High School Diploma required.
- Approximately 3 months of clerical or general office support experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical records department, medical practice, healthcare administration, or similar environment preferred.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Maestro Care EMR experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, data-entry, and document-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with accuracy and discretion.
