Key Responsibilities:
- Move, lift, and position raw materials, molds, cores, castings, sand, and scrap throughout the facility.
- Assist with mold and core preparation, including packing sand, removing pattern pieces, and preparing molds for pouring.
- Load and unload castings from furnaces, cleaning stations, and finishing equipment.
- Perform grinding, deburring, cleaning, and other finishing tasks to prepare castings for further processing.
- Operate basic foundry equipment such as hand tools, grinders, shot blast machines, and cleaning equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure safe and efficient production flow.
- Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all foundry safety practices, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, foundry, steel, or other heavy-industrial environments is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to (insert lbs), stand for long periods, and work in hot, dusty, or noisy environments.
- Ability to use hand tools and safely handle heavy materials.
- Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn new processes.
- Must be comfortable wearing PPE such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and respirator if needed.
