We are seeking employees who are energetic and enjoy working with infants, toddlers, and Preschoolers. This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age appropriate lesson plans for assigned age group
- Assist children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Child Development Permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing recommended.
- Must be able to pass a background check and child abuse index clearance
- At least 12 units in child development from a California-accredited college. Three of the 12 units must be Infant/Toddler training if you are applying to work with Infant/Toddlers
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Previous experience working in a childcare center
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with other staff, children, and families
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Work well as a part of a team
