12-hour day and overnight shifts

GPI Defense is hiring both Armed Security Officers and EMT-certified Unarmed Security Officers for a client assignment in Grand Prairie.

Both Positions:

Officers will be responsible for maintaining a professional security presence, monitoring the assigned location, responding to security and safety concerns, and completing required reports and communications.

For the Unarmed EMT-certified position:

This is primarily a security position. Active EMT certification is required by the client. Officers may be expected to provide basic first aid within the scope of their certification when needed, but this is not an ambulance or traditional EMT position.

Available schedules

Full-time day shift:

• Friday, Saturday, and Monday
• 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Three 12-hour shifts
• 36 scheduled hours per week

Part-time day or overnight shifts:

• Two 12-hour shifts per week
• 24 scheduled hours per week
• Coverage days include Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday
• Day shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Overnight shift runs from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Some flexibility may be available based on scheduling needs and officer availability

Sunday shifts are not part of the EMT-certified security assignment but there are Armed positions that will include Sunday hours.

Primary responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence
• Monitor assigned areas and identify potential security or safety concerns
• Follow site post orders and GPI Defense procedures
• Respond appropriately to incidents within the officer’s training and authority
• Provide basic first aid when necessary and within the scope of EMT certification
• Document incidents, observations, and actions accurately
• Communicate promptly with supervisors and appropriate personnel
• Remain alert, prepared, and professional throughout the assigned shift

Required qualification

• Current EMT certification (for the Unarmed position ONLY)
• Non-Commissioned Security License (for the Unarmed position ONLY)
• Commissioned Security License (for the Armed position ONLY)
• Active Driver's License (required for both positions)

Candidates should be prepared to work 12-hour shifts and maintain consistent attendance for the schedule they accept.

Armed position pay rate range: $16-$19

Unarmed EMT-certified pay rate range: $17-$22
