Veterinary Assistant
Rayford Animal Wellness Clinic (RAWC) | Spring, TX
Two Full-Time Positions Available
Love animals? Great. Are you also willing to clean up after them?
Rayford Animal Wellness Clinic (RAWC) is looking for TWO full-time Veterinary Assistants to join our team of RAWCstars!
We're a busy, fast-paced, full-service veterinary hospital in Spring, Texas. We provide affordable, quality veterinary care while working hard, helping each other, and having a little fun along the way.
Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but it is NOT required. We're willing to train the right person who brings a great attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, and a genuine desire to learn veterinary medicine.
First, Let's Talk About the Cleaning
We're putting this near the top for a reason.
There is a LOT of cleaning involved in this position.
Veterinary medicine isn't just cuddling puppies and kittens. Our assistants help keep the entire hospital clean, stocked, organized, and ready for the next patient.
That includes:
• Cleaning kennels and cages
• Laundry — lots of laundry
• Sweeping and mopping
• Cleaning exam rooms and treatment areas
• Washing bowls, instruments, and equipment
• Taking out trash
• Cleaning up urine, feces, vomit, blood, and other bodily fluids
• Restocking supplies
• Keeping work areas organized
• Jumping in wherever the team needs help
If you see something that needs to be cleaned, stocked, or handled, we want someone whose instinct is to take care of it—not walk past it.
Still with us? Excellent. You might be our kind of person.
What Else Will You Do?
Our Veterinary Assistants are an important part of the medical team and work alongside our veterinarians and technicians throughout the day.
Depending on your experience and training, responsibilities may include:
• Safely restraining dogs and cats for exams and procedures
• Assisting technicians and veterinarians with patient care
• Helping prepare patients and supplies for procedures
• Assisting with recovery of surgical patients
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients
• Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients
• Maintaining accurate patient information
• Stocking treatment and exam areas
• Learning veterinary terminology, medications, procedures, and hospital protocols
• Helping the team wherever needed
⭐ Who Makes a Great RAWCstar?
