Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Farm Equipment Mechanic, you'll help keep our equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently by:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing tractors, forklifts, trailers, irrigation systems, conveyors, and custom-built production equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance and routine servicing to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Inspecting, repairing, and replacing tires on a variety of equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related systems.
- Maintaining accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Collaborating with experienced mechanics to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and share technical knowledge.
- Performing welding and fabrication projects using MIG, TIG, stick, and gas welding processes.
- Helping improve equipment performance through repairs, fabrication, equipment modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly caring for company tools, equipment, and parts.
- Communicating repair progress and equipment needs while following all company safety policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A strong mechanical aptitude developed through technical school, previous employment, internships, military service, or personal projects.
- A desire to build your skills working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and specialized production equipment.
- A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- A commitment to working safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
- Your own basic mechanic's tool set appropriate for the position.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or occasional off-hours during seasonal production or emergency equipment repairs.
Preferred Qualifications
