About the Role:
Flamez Wood Fired Pizza in Blackwood, NJ is looking for a passionate and skilled Pizza Cook to join our fired-up team! If you love crafting delicious, artisan pizzas and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, this is the opportunity for you. Come bring the heat and be part of something truly delicious.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas using a wood-fired oven to achieve consistent, high-quality results
- Stretch, top, and assemble pizzas according to menu recipes and customer specifications
- Monitor oven temperatures and manage cook times to ensure perfectly fired pies
- Prep ingredients including dough, sauces, toppings, and garnishes for daily service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak hours
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Familiarity with wood-fired or high-temperature oven cooking is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
