We are excited to welcome a bubbly, reliable, and motivated Morning Assistant Teacher to our team. This is a long-term, non-seasonal position ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to continue learning and growing in the early childhood field.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 6:30am-2:30
• Some mornings may require a 6:30 AM arrival, depending on drop-off needs
• We are also open on select Saturdays, which may offer occasional additional hours

Who We Serve

We serve scholars ranging in age from 6 weeks through 12 years, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and after-school scholars. Our program works with mixed-age groups, offering hands-on learning, sensory play, creative projects, story time, movement, and structured daily routines.

Staff may support different age groups based on program needs, ratios, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

As a Morning Assistant Teacher, you will help set a positive tone for the day by:

• Preparing and opening the classroom
• Greeting scholars and families warmly and professionally
• Assisting with breakfast routines
• Supporting diapering, feeding, and transitions
• Setting up sensory activities, Circle Time, and learning centers
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Following daily routines and checklists
• Sharing classroom moments and photo updates through Brightwheel
• Supporting a nurturing, engaging environment across age groups

Physical Requirements

This role is active and hands-on and requires the ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and lift children or classroom materials (up to approximately 40 lbs). Duties include both indoor and outdoor supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Strong reliability and punctuality for early-morning shifts
• Warm, positive, and professional communication style
• Comfortable working with structure, routines, and teamwork
• Tech-friendly (training provided)
• Open to coaching, feedback, and continued learning
• Ability to complete all required OCFS paperwork and trainings
• CDA or early childhood coursework is a plus (not required)

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour. The pay range listed reflects what we anticipate offering for this job opening in good faith. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education and training, certifications, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
