About the Role
Cedrus Counseling is expanding its psychological assessment services and is looking for a detail-oriented, client-centered Psychometrist to administer and score standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessments under the supervision of our licensed clinical psychologists.
This role is central to our assessment practice — you'll be the primary point of contact for clients during testing sessions, ensuring a smooth, professional, and accurate testing experience from intake through data collection.
Responsibilities
- Administer standardized psychological, cognitive, and neuropsychological assessments in accordance with test publisher protocols
- Score and organize test data for review by supervising psychologists
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of testing sessions
- Ensure test security and proper storage/handling of assessment materials and client data
- Create a comfortable, professional environment for clients (including children, adolescents, and adults, depending on caseload) during what can be a lengthy testing process
- Coordinate scheduling of testing sessions with clients and clinical staff
- Communicate professionally with supervising psychologists regarding any behavioral observations or testing irregularities
- Stay current on updates to test versions, norms, and administration procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
- Certification through the Board of Certified Psychometrists (BCP) preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
- Prior experience administering standardized assessments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized protocols precisely
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients across a range of ages and backgrounds
- Comfort working under the clinical supervision of licensed psychologists
- Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements in a healthcare setting
