About the Role:
Redondo Beach Grocery Outlet is looking for an energetic and experienced Grocery Manager to lead our store team and keep our shelves stocked, organized, and thriving. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play a key part in delivering an outstanding shopping experience for our community. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily grocery department operations including stocking, rotation, and merchandising
- Lead, schedule, and develop a team of grocery associates to meet store goals
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO) and maintain department cleanliness and safety standards
- Analyze sales data and shrink reports to drive department performance and profitability
- Collaborate with store management on promotions, displays, and seasonal merchandising
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- 2+ years of grocery retail management or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of grocery merchandising, inventory control, and product ordering
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must be electric pallet jack and forklift certified
