We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, data analysis, and process improvements. This role helps ensure accurate financial records, supports servicing and government assistance programs, and contributes to a strong control environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and resolve account discrepancies.
- Prepare documentation and process accounting adjustments.
- Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions.
- Coordinate with external partners to obtain transaction documentation.
- Process wire transfers related to servicing advances.
- Track receivables, reimbursements, and government incentive payments.
- Prepare reports and analyze servicing and portfolio performance.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for management.
- Maintain process documentation and support cross-training.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or financial services experience.
- Experience in an analyst or reporting role within financial services.
- Mortgage servicing experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
- Experience with mortgage servicing systems (e.g., MSP) is a plus.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
