Dallas Industries is a leading manufacturer of coil handling, press feeding, and automation equipment serving manufacturers throughout North America. We are looking for a motivated, technically minded Regional Sales Engineer who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and helping manufacturers improve their production processes.

What You'll Do

As a Regional Salesman, you'll be responsible for growing sales within your assigned territory by developing new business, managing customer relationships, and providing technical solutions for custom equipment applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow new business opportunities within your assigned territory.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and industry partners.
• Visit customer facilities to understand manufacturing processes and equipment requirements.
• Evaluate applications and recommend engineered solutions that meet customer needs.
• Prepare technical quotations, proposals, and cost estimates for custom machinery.
• Review applications submitted by outside sales representatives and develop complete quotation packages.
• Present technical proposals, product demonstrations, and equipment recommendations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Project Management throughout the sales process.
• Support project handoffs after purchase orders are received to ensure a smooth transition into production.
• Represent Dallas Industries at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer information, and opportunity pipelines within the CRM system.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging customer needs.

What We're Looking For

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

OR

• Equivalent combination of technical sales experience and industrial manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of technical sales experience in industrial machinery, automation, manufacturing, or capital equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience preparing technical quotations and proposals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• ERP experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel 30–50% throughout an assigned sales territory, including overnight travel, customer visits, and trade shows.
